For women’s history month, honoring the sisters in the City of Brotherly Love
Jezabel Careaga was not at Jezabel’s Argentine Cafe and Bakery when I dropped by for lunch, but I didn’t need to see her to sense her. The self-taught chef transported the dishes from her childhood in northwest Argentina — empanadas, medialunas, tartas de choclo, pastafrola — to her adulthood in Philadelphia.
